I cought just the tail end of your show today and you mentioned something about weight loss that you felt was good. You gave the web site but I could not make out what you said. It sounded like crave-------? Could you be so kind and tell me what that site was. Thanks, Allen
Thanks for the email and I'm sorry for the delay. I used to battle with my weight like everyone else. A good friend shared a couple of blunt, but true theories with me. Here it is paraphrased: I control what comes out of my mouth. The words that I select and how I let them out. In the same way that I control what comes out of my mouth, I also controls what goes in. Simply said, I control what comes in and comes out of my mouth. It doesn't matter how much you workout, you will still gain (not lose) weight if you don't control your calorie intake. All the major diets are the same... they try to control your calorie intake. It's simple math. Use up more than you consume and you'll lose weight. You don't have to give up Starbucks or Cold Stone. Just make sure your other meals are healthy and low calorie. You know the old joke about ordering a Big Mac with a diet Coke. That is not a joke. It's the real life principle that's easy to follow. Have a small meal if you know you're having ice cream. Skip breakfast if you know you're having Starbucks. Drink water before your meals whenever possible. The colder the water the better. Your body will feel full from the water and your body has to burn more calories to heat cold water. Bottom line: diet is more important than exercise. That doesn't mean you shouldn't exercise. You must do something. 30 minutes of walking 3 days a week will get you more results than you'd expect. If you're not doing 30 minutes of walking 3 days a week then I challenge you... you will see results just from this little effort. Back to the website. The website I mentioned on the air was KravMaga.com. If you are not familiar with Krav Maga then read up on it. It’s the Israeli military fighting system that is used by many US special forces, including the FBI and CIA. The LAPD also trains in Krav. Try to find a gym in your area. It's great exercise and you will learn very practical things while you are burning lots of calories. I found that if my mind was involved in the training that I was more interested. Krav Maga teaches real life survival scenarios. It's great for couples as well. Unlike a gym membership like 24 Hour Fitness, you can't just go anytime. Many people fall into the trap of "I can just workout later", but when you take classes like Krav Maga then you have to go when they have the classes so people find themselves more likely to attend. Another website that is very incredible (and advanced) is CrossFit.com. This site will email you a different work each day to keep you guessing. Thanks for listening to the radio show. I hope this wasn't too much information. I wish you the very best in 2008!

i wonder if.. once the presidential race is over, if this mortgage crisis will ever be fixed and will mortgage lenders ever help out those who are in financial trouble?

Glad to hear Krav worked for you. It changed my life as well. I didn't lose much wieght from it, only like 12 pounds. What I did lose was body fat, I lost 8%.
